RIBBON PARADE

KENNEL CLUB FUNCTION GOOD SHOW OF DOGS The fust venture of the Poverty Bay Kennel Club, in tin' line of a ribbon parade, was well patronised by doghreeaers and owners oi the district, who gathered in force this afternoon at ..Mr. A. Siapp's residence. Waimario. The sporting breeds were very strongly represented in the show, and some of these were of outstanding quality, while the other classes were lair in numbers, and in some instances of high quality. The committee of tiie club hail every reason to congratulate itself on the support accorded the function, and dog-lovers among the general public showed their appreciation of the club's enterprise. Tlie judges of the respective sections of the show were Messrs. T. i\dgo. sporting dogs; F. Bedfeani, fancy dogs; C. Parkinson, terriers: and A. Waugh, sheep-dogs. The parade was under the supervision of Mr. B. 11. Aislabie. while the secretarial duties were in the hands of Mr. V.. W. Mcl\cu/ie. A strong committee and capable stew aids assisted to make the parade a success. Karly results were as under:
