WINGS
Behold! A new day opens, flic world has taken wings. Above the silence of the clouds, A throbbing motor sings. > golden path of wonder. New trails across the dawn, Like gods we soar above the world, iVhere man has never gone.
Xew goals shine out to lure us, New worlds within our reach, Xew gateways to a hundred dreams, New beauty in our speech. We're trailing clouds of glory Across the hills of brown, Where birds are winging in their flight \bove the quiet town.
Beyond the ridge of sunset, \ new horizon lies, '.)ii steady wings we travel there, With star-dust in our eyes. •\ hundred doors of service, \rc safely opened there, When men go out to meet the day On highways of the air. —Edna Jaques
