WESLEY CHOIR CONCERT
The Bright Street; Methodist schoolroom was full last evening, notwithstanding the inclement weather, when the choir, assisted bv a few friends, presented an excellent programme of musical ami elocutionary items. Songs were sung by Misses Phyllis Wheeler, Barbara Moore and Ella Pike, and Messrs. I’. Jlevworth, S. Strong and David Clark, a quartet by Aliss Smith, Mrs. G. iS. Vincent, and Messrs. .1. 11. Bass and Stanley Vincent, a trio by Miss Pike, Messrs. S. Strong and Aliss Dike, a duet by Aliss E. Pike and Mr. P. Pike, and a part song by the choir. Aliss Enid Hooper delighted the audience by two descriptive recitations in character. Monologues were given by Mr. Stanley Vincent, and a recitation by Mr. K. Pearson. Air. Sawyer gave some tuneful solos on the tenor horn.
The accompanists were Miss Harries, Airs. .1. 11. Bass and Air. David -Clark.
Hearty applause greeted Hie items, and encores were a feature of I)ie evening.
The Bov. Geo. Frost, Who presided, heartily thanked the performers for the delightful entertainment.
The proceeds were in aid of the choir music fund.
