THE AUSTRIAN TRIALS ANOTHER DEATH SENTENCE VIENNA, Feb. S. In a court filled wittt horrified listeners, Frau Kardos, who was recently condemned to death, turned on her former friend, Szolnok Mario Varga, and charged her with murdering her war-blinded husband, her lover and the hitter's grandfather, so that she may not have to go to the gallows alone. She declared that she heard Varga offer five hundredweight of wheat to a midwife, Aunt Suzanne, to kill the husband of Kardos and added that he died in horrible agony. She had killed her own husband and son and, therefore, knew how they died. Her desire for vengeance failed as Varga escaped the death sentence, but is to servo hard labor for .life.
