At the wool sales, 6886 bales were offered, of which 733 were from New Zealand, There was a good selection of greasy merinos, principally super style spinners’ sorts. The market continues firm at .late rates. New Zealand greasif crossbred stipes sold: Puetai lid (average). and 12d (highest). At Thursday’s wool sales 6169 bates were sold, of which 1986 were New Zealand. Messrs. Murrrty, Roberts and Co. are in receipt of the following cable hiessage from London, 'under date 31st ult. : "Crossbred greatly, opening rate's barely maintained: scoured, adwneed 5 per. cent. ; other descriptions, market firm.”
