On Sunday last in the picturesque old church at * Pakipaki, the Rev. Ha Rnhgiuho, at tone time curate in Hastings, was advanced to the priesthood in the presence of a large, Maori congregation. The ordination service was conducted by the Bishtfp ,of Aotearoa. A .substantial donation to the funds of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club was acknowledged at a meeting of the club committee, the donor being Mr. A. B. Williams. The committee appointed Messrs. J. O'Neill, J. Webb, and K. A. MoLood as coaches for the representative crews now in training for the L.V.A. Shield regatta, to lie held on January 2;1 on the Waipaoa courae.
