THE WORD "AUSTRALASIA" (Special to the'Herald.) . AUCKLAND, this day. "That word 'Australasia' has to be cut out; it's no good to JNCW Zealand overseas," said Mr. J. M. Hyams, of Auckland, who returned from a world tour by the Aorangi. "New Zealand is not known in Europe," he continued, "It is known as Australasia. "What this Dominion wants is more publicity, and plenty of it. When you buy American maps to look for New Zealand you will find it placed off the coast of South Africa, That's a fact, and is no laughing matter. That word 'Australasia' has been responsible for it all. The New Zealand Government should make a most extensive publicity campaign throughout Europe and America. One feels ashamed when people ask you where you come from, and you say New Zealand, and they reply 'New Zealand? I've never heard of it. Where is it?' "
