SWIMMING CARNIVAL
HANDICAPS FOR TO-NIGHT MISS K. MILLER TO APPEAR Championship, handicap, diving, and novelty events should provide interesting entertainment at the swimming carnival to be held under the auspices of the Gisborne Amateur Surf and Swimming Club at the High School baths tonight. In addition, a water polo match will he played between teams captained by 'D. W. MeKeaguc and T. Wauchop, and in view of the enthusiasm displayed this season by Gisborne swimmers a splendid exhibition of this strenuous and fascinating branch of aquatic sport, should he witnessed. Keen interest will attach to the appearance here of Miss Kathleen Miller, champion furlong and quarter-mile lady swimmer oil the Dominion, and 1928 New Zealand Olympic representative Miss Miller will be seen in action in the 100yds. ladies' handicap and 66 2-3yds. open handicap.
