MOTOR SPEED LIMIT
BERNARD SHAW'S VIEWS LONDON, Dec. 18. In an article in the Observer Mr. G. Bernard Shaw confesses that' he has broken the speed limit every time he has taken out his ear during 21 years of motoring. He always drives as fast as he can with safety, he says. Nevertheless, Mr. .Shaw regards the speed limit as a rough-and-ready device to enable the police to mulct inconsiderate drivers. He suggests that a useful Act may result 1 from the Road Traffic Bill if every line is amended to make it mean the opposite to the original draft.
