MISSING AIRMEN

U.S. APPEALS TO RUSSIA WASHINGTON, Dec. 23. Messages of the American Government, appealing to the Soviet for assistance for Lieut. Ben Eielsoi), the Arctic aviator, who has been lost for six weeks off the coast of .Siberia, were flashed to .Moscow and to two Soviet ships in the vicinity of where Eielson disappeared.
