FAILED TO APPEAR
SOLICITOR REARRESTED BRISBANE, Dee. 26. Hubert MuCowan, solicitor, who was remanded last week on £14,000 bail, did not appear when the ease was called on Tuesday, and a (further charge was preferred of the theft of £3112 from a client. The magistrate yesterday issued a warrant for his re-arrest, and the police found him on Stradbroke Island in Moreton Bay, living with some fishermen. McOowtui, when arrested, had a gash ill his throat and a lacerated wrist. He is in an exhausted condition.
