GREATEST POLAR EXPLORER LONDON, Dec. 10. "Sir Douglas Mawson, the Australian explorer, judged by the wealth of scientific information he. has acquired, and the amount of laud he has discovered, is the greatest modern polar explorer," writes Mr. Gordon Haves in his book, "Robert Edwin Peary." Mr. I laves argues that it would have been physically, impossible for Peary to have reached the North Pole," although he is credited with that achievement.
