A TOTAL LOSS
WRECKED NORWICH CITY RESCUE WORK HAMPERED (Received Dec. 5, 2.30 p.m.) SUVA, Dec. 5, The Norwich City is reported to be a total loss. Five whites and six Arabs were drowned when the vessel struck. There are 21 men still on the island. Three of the crew rescued are aboard the Trongate. Enormous seas are hampering the rescue work. A rocket line was sent ashore, and also water and provisions. The captain, officers, and engineers of the wrecked vessel are safe.
