“A MEAN THEFT”
THREE MONTHS’ GAOL FOR 17/(Por -Pri'Kß Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. John Michael Gearschawski, a farmer, a married man, was sentenced to three months’ gaol this morning on a charge of stealing 24 'cauliflowers, valued at 17s, from a, neighbor’s section. Tho Magistrate, Mr. E. C. Lcvvey, said it was a mean theft, and. the accused had a,past record.
