COAL OUTLOOK : ; DECISION AT WEEK-END T % t: SYDNEY, Dec. 4. •Meetings oi' the miners on the northern coalfields in ortler to discuss the terms of settlement of the eoal dispute will bo held during tlie week-end. Their delegates fo the recent conference are strongly urging the acceptance of the' terms, hut there is considerable hostility in some quarters and an attempt will be made by the militants to have the terms rejected. There was'a sighiticarirdovelopmont to-day at Lithgow, in the western district,* where the miners, at a mass meeting, unanimously rejected the terms and also pledged themselves to fight any kind of' wage reduction to the bit ter end. The position, therefore, is still in the balance.
