POSITION STILL UNEASY
PALESTINE TROUBLE COMMUNISTS BLAMED (Australian and N. 7 Press Association.) LONDON, Sept. 20. The Daily Mail’s special correspondent at Jerusalem states that though the authorities have‘succeeded in restoring some semblance . of order in Jerusalem, the precautions still deemed necessary suggest that confidence hangs by a slender hair. The curfew lias been extended. A new order re-enacts that it is still illegal for anybody to carry a weapon, or even a stick, which has resulted in a number of walking sticks disappearing for fear of attracting the nttention of the polic-e, who have the widest powers to effect an arrest without a warrant. Public, assemblies are still prohibited. The authorities are convinced Hint the Bolsheviks are a big factor in the disturbances. Several Communists were arrested in a Haifa raid last night. A bitter Jewisli-Arab feeling still prevails. t
