VOTE LITTLE DISCUSSED (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, ibis day. Members of the House were so anxious to oblige Sir Joseph Ward in his desire to show some good work for the day yesterday that tho usual long discussion oir tourist facilities was not heard on consideration of the tourist vo,e, and the Minister gave a.prompt reply. He stated that the mail service to Stewart Island was discontinued owing to unsun ability of tho steamer, but arrangements were, being made to replace it. Some items appeared on the estimates regarding Lake Te A nan with a view to considering the whole position. "We may take the steamer and the hotel.It is being reported on,” be explained.
