BRITISH BUDGET
CHANCELLOR'S SPEECH LARGE AUDIENCE ASSURED (British Official Wireless.) Pec. noon. RUGBY, April 15. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Winston Churchill, will open the fifth Budget which lie has presented to Parliament this afternoon. lie is assured of a big audience, for members of the House of Commons invariably attend in full strength on that day, and all accommodation for distinguished visitors and the general public already has been allotted. The expenditure side of the national accounts for the financial year which has just begun is already known. Estimates have been published showing the estimated total outlay comprising tho following principal items: Fixed deoc charges, £350,000,000; Consolidated Fund services. £23,000,000; supply services, army, £40,500,000; navy, £00,800,000; Air Force £10,200,000; civil votes, £250,500,000.
