LADY NGATA ILL
IN CRITICAL CONDITION (Specfal to the Herald.) TIKITIKI, this day. Weakened with the anxiety of watching over her son, whoso death occurred iast week, and weighed down with the burden of her sorrow, Lady Ngata has contracted the disease of which her eon died ,and now lies in a critical state at her home at Waiomatatini. Her presence was much missed- at the reception accorded to largo parties of mourners. Neither Mir Apiiana nor Lady Ngata were able to attend the funeral on Saturday, when the remains of their son wee laid to rest on Alakarini's farm at T'ipahi. The whole tribe is now anxiously awaiting news of the fight put up by Lady Ngata for her life. .Sir Apirana Ngata confines himself to his home.
