MOTOR CYCLE RACES
MEETING AT WELLINGTON TRACK RECORD BROKEN (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. About 13,000 people attended at the Kilbimio Stadium on Saturday night for the dirt track motor cycle racing. Miss Fay Taylour tailed in an effort to break the track record for one mile, her machine breaking down on entering the fourth lap. The record was subsequently broken by Gus Clifton (Australia), who did the mile in lmin. 31 4-ssoc.
The New Zealand dirt track championship was won by Dave Managh, of Halcombc, in lmin. 40 2-oscc. There were several spills, but no one was injured except Tui Morgan, who sustained slight concussion.
