Speaking on the subject of Empire telephony at a radio dealers’ luncheon at .which New Zealand was represented, Mr. E. T. Fisk, managing director of Amalgamated Wireless Ltd., referred to the important investigations and tests his organisation had been making in short-wave telephony with New York, Java, Berlin, and other places, but for some‘reason which ho was unable to understand tho British Post Office authorities seemed unwilling to undertake' the experiments asked for from Sydney. - -
Sir. Fisk added: “It would soeiu that there are some influences ..at wbrfc to prevent .these experiments between Britain and Australia. The /utiiisartion of the radio telephone service for oven two hours a day between the cities of Australia or New Zealand would be an immense advantage, ~
