The King lay all day upon a silverplated ImdM'roiii the Royal Yacht, resting, except for a short period in which lie was encouraged to take deep-breath-ing exercises which expand the lung affected with empyema. When the King is a little better he will sit in tho sunshine under a porch overlooking the foreshore. A further stage of his convalescence will be drives which the Queen has planned to Chichester, Trundel, Goodwood, and other historic houses in the neighbor.hood The King's meals at present are usually fresh milk and pudding which tho Queen superintends. The King is delighted with the change from the monotony of the London sickroom, and is looking forward to seeing intimate friends, though doctors will not yet allow visitors, apart from the Royal family. PRINCE GIVES UP HUNTING. INCREASING DUTIES (Australian mid N.Z. Press Association.) (Received. Feb. 11, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 10. The Daily Express says the Prince of Wales has decided to abandon hunting and point to point racing and dispose oi all his hunters. The step is due to the rapidly increasing duties he is called on to perform owing to the King's illness. The decision means much selfdenial. Sport has provided him with countless happy excursions. The Express "adds that the sale of tho prince's 15 hunters, of which he is extremely fond, will he held at Leicester a fortnight hence.
