ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
DEATH FOLLOWS ACCIDENT (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, last night. An inquest on the body of Edward Albert Williams, who died'in hospital as the result of injuries received in an accident on January 29, was held this evening. Deceased was riding a motor cycle along Doe street at 7 a.m., when ho came into collision with a taxi-car driven by Patrick John Duggan. Williams was admitted to hospital suffering from a compound fracture of the skull, and according to medical evidence, death was due to meningitis following a fractured skull. The coroner found that Williams died on February 5 from meningitis following a fractured skull sustained in a collision between his cycle and a car driven by Duggan. DEATH OF SAWMILL WORKER j (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, last night. An inquest was held at Riverton today concerning the death of John Cameron, who died in the Wallace Hos--pital on Tuesday from injuries received at a sawmill in Papatilara the previous, day. From the evidence, if appeared that the deceased, who was attending to the engine, was struck on the head by some moving force. A verdict was returned that deceased died as a result of injuries sustained while working at the mill.
