DISASTROUS FIRE

£30,000 DAMAGE CAUSED

Damage estimated at £30,000 was caused by a lire at Korumbunra, which destroyed four shops and seriously damaged several others before it was checked. For a considerable time all the shops in the block were endangered. Firemen effected a good save. Two firemen were overcome by fumes from burning buildings. Small boys smoking cigarettes are believed to be responsible.
