GISBORNE CLUB In view of the Peace Shield howling tournament a full muster of members attended the Gisborne Bowling Club's green on Saturday afternoon. Handicap pairs and ordinary games comprised the extent of the Poverty Bay Bowling Club's competitions on ' Saturday afternoon. v. Cotton and Andrew (s) 23. An interesting game took place be- | tween Cameron and Moore (holders) and ! Hopkiuson and Cartels (challengers) for j the Club Ferns. At one stage of the match the challengers led by 13 to 0, but Cameron and Moore eventually succeeded in fending off the challengers by' 23 points to 21. , KAHUTIA CLUB ' There was a good attendance of members on the Kahutia Club’s green on Saturday afternoon when much interest was taken in the rink games for the Dan Barry Memorial Shield between Simpson and Power, and Newton and Harkess, Simpson and Newton were lying level, with one loss each, and as this was the last round, a defeat to' either would have put them out of it. The result, however, was a victory to each, which means that a concluding game will have to be played. Following are results Stevens, Downey, Mcllroy, Simpson (s) 17 v.
