At the Westfietd sale to-day an average yaiding of ox beet was penned. Competition was steady, and values remained linn at last week s rate. Medium weight bullocks realised £l3 10s to £l4 j light-weight bullocks £ll lkis 6d to £l3 /s 6d. A heavy yarding of cow and heifer beef came forward, tor which values were on a par with last week s prices. Prime heavy cows and heifers made £lO 15s to £ll 15s; medium cows and heifers £7 10s 6d to £8 lbs; extra choice ox sold to 42s per 1001 b; choice, and prime 37s to 41s; just killabie 35s to 365; prime young cow and heifer beef 34s to 375; just killabie 31s to 33s 6d. Sheep.—A heavy yarding of sheep came forward, which sold' under poor competition, prices being easier than last week's. Ewes especially showed a sharp decline, while wethers did not show such a drop. Extra heavy prime wethers, shorn, made 33s 3d; heavy prime, 335; medium, 30s; light and unfinished, 28s 9d; heavy prime ewes, 22s !6d ; lighter, 21s 6d ; other ewes, 19s; •heavy ewes. 21s 6d to 22s 6d; medium ' ewes, 19s to 20s 9d; lighter sorts, 17s I to 18s 6d.

Lambs.—An average yarding of spring lambs came forward and sold under good competition. Prices were firmer than those ruling at last week's market. Heavy prime lamb realised 28s, medium 275, and light 25s 6d. Calves sold at improved prices and made a good recovery from the drop last week. No runners were yarded. Heavy vealers made £4 to £4 15s; medium £2 15s to £3 15s; light £2 to £2 12s; others 15s to £1 18s.

Pigs were yarded in large numbers and met with a dull sale, especially for porkers. Choppers £1 15s; heavy baconers £2 15s to £3; heavy porkers £2.to £2 3s; medium baconers £2 10s to, £2 14s; medium porkers £1 13s to 1 19s; light baconers £2 4s to £2'Bs; light porkers £1 5s to £1 12s.
