Among the many attractive events ior the current week in Gisborne will be the winter sale which the Melbourne Cash. Proprietary will conduct-, commencing at 9.30 n.m. on Friday. By means of a special six-page inset in this issue, the progressive drapery firm convoys an idea of the bargains it is able to offer at this sale. Owing to big shipments of new season's goods being on the water, the firm finds it necessary to dear its shelves, and present- stocks have been marked down considerably. Doubtless the sale will atthict hundreds of thrifty buyers. Early buying will meet with its own reward, as many of the lines offered are limited as to quantity.
