It is int;ndod to school Maunga over country on Saturday if a suitable companion can be secured. Investors are inclined to dospise the prospects of Maunga in his engagements next month, but it has to be remembered that he lias experienced ill-luck in his races this season, and in the only event in AVliicli he completed the course, the Great Northern Hurdles, lie ran a good third. It has not been his own fault in most eases that lie has failed to get round. Beau Cavalier arrived at Ricearton yesterday in charge of S. Toomau.
