BLAZE IN SYDNEY

BUTTER STORES DAMAGED (Received July 14, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 24. Fire seriously damaged the large butter stores of the Norcb Co-operative, Ltd., in Sussex street, early this morning. Two floors were gutted and many thousands of pounds worth of butter and dairy products lost. FACTORY DESTROYED (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. • This morning Mr F. W. Dodson's aerated water factory, an „ old wooden structure, was destroyed by fire, Mr. Dodson having some difficulty after attempting to locate the seat off the out'•nist, in escaping. The brigade was promptly on the scene, but there was no hope from the beginning. The building housed a quantity of valuable machinery and stocks f* essences, etc. Mr. Dodson's loss is considerable. The building was insured for £l5O and the plant and material for £270, inthe Eagle, Star and British Dominions office. The owner suffers a heavy loss.
