William Long, a member of the Burns’ Detective Agency, swore that IT. R. Lamb, a Justice Department employee, talked at Potomac' Hying field with a juror, Norman Glasscock. lie failed to identify Lamb, and both Glasscock and Lamb denied being at the field. A cablegram of yesterday stated that William Burns, head of the detective agency, was called before the Grand Jury to explain the activities of his agents in shadowing the oil trial juro-rs. He mado sensational charges that “only the Government has attempted to tamper with the jury.” Burns declared that his men filed with Mr. Justice Siddon? an affidavit and complaint asserting that a Government officer, in a Government automobile, visited the local flying field and approached one of the jurors.
