. -a»CHANGE OVER TO RACING MORE DISCUSSION WANTED The decision of the Poverty Bay Trotting Club to turn over to gallops is not to go through without further discussion, for energetic opposition to the proposal has been manifested from an influential quarter, arid notice of motion has been lodged with the intention of upsetting the original decision. The change-over plan will be further discussed at a meeting of the club, to be held on the 22nd' inst,, at which the members will have the choice of endorsing and confirming the resolution proposing tlie reconstitution of the club as a racing club, or of throwing out that decision.
Members have been circularised as follows: A special general meeting of the Poverty Hay Trotting dub will be held on July 22 at 8 p.m. to further consider the question of (he change of constitution of >the club to a. racing club, and to consider the following motion of which notice has been given: "That the, motion passed on July 7, 1927, namely 'that application be made fo change the constitution of the club lo a racing c lub, to be called the. Turanganui Racing Club, be rescinded'."
