DISPUTE AMONG CONVICTS (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, June 2-1. The prisoners who went on strike at Lansing decided to surrender after :: three days’ hunger siege, upon a promise from the Prison Board that their demands will he considered fairly and impartially by (he board. The convicts had a battle among themselves before the strike ended, some holding out, against surrender. Several strikers were carried out from the mine weakened through hunger. The prisoners, who were engaged in mining operations, refused to leave the mine until they wore promised a regular issue of tobacco.
