LEGS AMPUTATED
THREE IN' ONE FAMILY MELBOURNE, June 20. An extraordinary run of misfortune has been suffered by a family named Hogg, throe'members of which each had a leg amputated in one wreck, although they are scattered in difl'ei'eiit parts of the world. During the following week word was received from South Africa, that a niece had been seriously injured in a motor accident.
J. A. llogg find his leg injured in the war. It appeared to be quite well, but at Easter it again gave trouble, and doctors ordered .its amputation. "Op the same day as I was operated on,” he said to-day, "my brother Leslie had his leg amputated at Canberra, as a result of ;{ motor accident. That same wreck word was received from our .brother Stewart, in Now Zealand, that his eldest son had had his leg amputated.” All sufferers are now progressing favorably.
