Averages of representative players for the l!>20-27 season, compiled by the Waiapu Cricket Association, show W. Gates to be in the lead with a batting average of 3!>.0, with G. Gates, 38.7, next in order. There is a fairh' substantial drop between the average of G. Gates and that of the next in order, K. Spence, who has 25.0, and thereafter.the baiting averages of tin! representative players are: J. Mill 20.8, .1.. Gates 20,15, G. Mill 15, Culwick MM, C. Franklin j.:t.fi, G. Franklin 12.5, P.
