Messrs Dalgety and' Co. have received the following cable message from their head office, London, dated June 22: "London tallow sales: At the tallow sales 1575 casks were offered and <w per cent, of the offerings sold. Prices are unchanged to 6d lower per ewt. ' Tbe Associated Auctioneers of Hawke s Bay report a fair yard of cattle, mostly fat. and a small yarding of siheep at Stortford Lodge on Wednesday. Owing no doubt to the Hawke's Bay Hunt Club meeting, the attendance* of the public was smaller than usual. Cattle and sheep met with fair competition and realised up to recent values. There were a numher of fat cattle passed in. though most of this changed bands by pnvate treaty after the sale.
