At the Matawhcro sale to-day the following prices were realised for far cattle: 14 cows, young, empty, in fairly forward condition, mostly Jersey cross (p), 212 s; 2 Jersey heifers (p),*£2; 3 yearlings, dairy type, not .much condition, £1 16s: 1 empty cow, £1 6s; 2 cows, in calf, £2 l"/s 6d. A successful sale was held on account of Mr. V. I'. Kivers, at Te Teko. reports the Opotiki Guardian. A total clearance was mad.' under rhe hammer of Hie whole of Ins daily li.-i'd ol 7(1 cows, pigs, and sundries, no! one annual being passed in.
