LATE COMMERCIAL
NATIONAL BANK’S PROFITS (Per -Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Cable advice has been received by the general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand that the net profit for the year ended March 31 last, after providing for bad and doubtful debts and alter paying a bonus to the staff absorbing £115,000, amounted to £312,274, which, with £173,044 brought, forward from the previous year, leaves available for distribution £485.318, which it is proposed to allocate as follows: In payment of a dividend at, the rate of 12 per cent, and a bonus of 2 per cent, per annum, £280,000; to the premises laccount., £120,000: to the pension fund, £9,549. The balance to be carried forward is £175,769. The dividend and the bonus are at the same rate as last year.
