Although a miss is said to be as good as a mile, two residents of Valley road, Mount Eden, Auckland, while working in their garden were disconcerted when a pea-rifle cracked somewhere in the locality, and a bullet hit a wire fence a few feet away from them. Seaoh did not disclose the marksman, and the pearifle was probably fired by some youthful enthusiast without bad inteiit.
