EARL OF RANFURLY
TO SELL DUNGANNON ESTATE,
n> BELFAST, March 4. The Earl oil Ranfurly, G.C.M.G,, former Governor of New Zealand, lias decided to dispose of Northland House, Dungannon, and the extensive demesne lauds adjoining. Since the war Lord and Lady Ranfurly have done everything in tlieir power to retain the estate for the young heir, Viscount Northland, until lie comes of age, but post-war taxation has been too crushing.-
Hi nee 1692, when the Knox family purchased the' estate, to the present date, tlie family have been considerate landlords, evictions , being unknown, and Dungannon Park was always open for the benefit of the townspeople. Lord Ranfurly is a descendant of William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania. He is the fifth carl, and Viscount Northland, his grandson, was born in 19.13.
