The Daily News says police have taken possession of a letter which Mrs Christie wrote to a friend postmarked the day after her disappearance; contents of which are not disclosed. The search has been abandoned.
K was reported yesterday that Mrs Agatha Christie, the novelist, had disappeared from her home under mysterious circumstances, her motor-car being found on the roadside.
