OBITUARY
MR. FERDINAND BEGG (Australian and N.Z. Cable- Association.) LONDON, Dec. 6. The death is announced of Mr. Ferdinand Begg. a prominent British financial agent and stock broker. The late Mr. Begg was born in Edinburgh in 1847. At the age *of 10 he migrated to New "Zealand, and ten years later married Miss Jessis Cargill, of Duncdin. In 1872 he rdturned to .Scotland, and became a stockbroker. For a time he was chairman of the Edinburgh exchange, and then moved to London. Froan 1895 to 1900 he represented'a Glasgow constituentcy in Parliament, and from 1912 to 1915 was chairman of the London Chamber of Commerce. Mil. PAUL-HtJNTER. The death occurred in Waipnkurau hospital last night of Mr. Paul Hunter, sheopfarmer, and brother of Sir George Hunter, M.P. Death followed the amputation of a leg some days ago rendered •necessary by-a, form of blood poisoning.
