BRITISH FILM BOOM LONDON, Nov. 2.*L The special representative of the Sun learns that the Empire Films movement has caused eager competition among a number,, of syndicates, including American and Anglo-Ameri-can groups, who are attempting to purchase cinemas, and are offering fancy prices, especially for those with upwards of 2000 seating capacity. It is'stated that for the purpose of safeguarding their film markets Americans now intend to produce pictures in British Columbia as well as at Hollywood.
