YALLOURN STRIKE (Received December, 7. noon). MELBOURNE, Dec. 7. The strike position at Vallouni is unchanged, but a conference between the Commissioners and the Trades Hall disputes committee has been arranged for to-day. Both sides are hopeful that a settlement will be reached. The cessation of coal cutting operations will begin to affect tho power house after the end of this week unless a'settlement is readied. Restrictions on tht<i consumption of electricity will then be enforced.
