WOMAN'S CHARGES WITHDRAWN. NEW~~YORK\ Oct, 16. Suit brought against Miss Beatrice Lillie, the English musical comedy actress, at Hollywood (the Californiaii film city) by Mrs. Timothy F. Whelan, the cinema scenario writer, who claimed ,£20,000 for alleged alienation of her busbund's affections, was to-day abandoned When he hoard the charges made against Miss Lillie—who in private; life is Lady Peel—Sir Robert Peel rushed to the United States. He arrived in New York last Thursday and took tho first train to Los Angeles after expressing his utmost indignation at the aspersions upon his wife. The baronet appeared at Hollywood yesterday, and to-day Mrs. Whelan acknowledged the groundlessness of her alleged suspicions, withdrawing all ohajges and aspersions made by her against the English musical comedy actress.
