PRISONER STILL AT LARGE (Per Pre* Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. * Samuel Arthur Pudney, 35, an habitual criminal serving two years' imprisonment, daringly escaped from Mount Eden gaol at 7.30 o,'clock last evening. He mado an excuse to visit tfi» quarry, and, seizing a favorable opportunity, dashed through an open gate, -which,ho elammed ,in the face of pursuing, warders. This slight advantage enabled Pudney to get away mulct 1 cover of darkness. Despite a vigilant search, he- is Still at large.
