Sir Alan Cobham's attempt to lly :i Moth aeroplane from quarantine jo the Battery to prove the possibility of thus expediting mails was a failure. The liner Homeric was delayed ifoV three hours. The craft was lowered, l.ut was only buffeted by the ground swell and eventually was towed ashore. The majority of the passengers are indignant, for they missed their trains and Thanksgiving dinners.
