TOWNS EVACUATED
GREAT WAVE OF MUD Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. PARIS, Nov. 24. A great wave of mud is flowing in the Alpes Maritimcs, and near the baths of Bertkemont, with their sulphur springs. The combined population, numbering 3500, evacuated the towns. Beneath Belvedere a great crevice has opened. " The inhabitants of smaller villages are preparing to evacuate them. Roads have been obliterated.
