ABANDONED
THE PACIFIC PLIGHT MELBOURNE, Nov. 24. Captain Williams has abandoned ins Pacific flight owing to the lateness of the .season, and has commenced his return journey to Melbourne. Captain Williams left Melbourne on September 28 in an attempt, to fly to Samoa and bock. Several delays were encountered, and serious engine trouble developed in the Solomon Islands. The approach of the monsoon season made a continuation of tho flight dangerous.
