Williams arrived home in ]i«|iior,'and when lie violently assaulted his wife .she tried' to get out of the window. Williams then pulled the sa-sli down on her mid held her by the neck while he humped her with his knees. The police were summoned and when they arrived they found, her in an unconscious condition. the accused was one ol those who did little nolle mu! lived upon his wife. It was one of the worst eases of a husband assaulting a wife that he knew of. Counsel pleaded for leniency. The magistrate sentenced the man to a month’s imprisonment with hard labor.
