ASSET’S ONLY £I4OO. EARL’S CREDITORS REFUSE AID LONDON, October 1. Creditors of Reginald Herbert, Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery, have" refused to accept offers of the earl’s friends to liquidate his debts by paying five shillings in the pound. London Bankruptcy Court proceedings showed that the earl owes £400,000, while his assets are only about £I4OO. The court adjourned the, hearing for two weeks, to enable tho carl to secure financial accommodation.
